Stephen was great! He diagnosed the outside faucet leakage problem in no time and fixed it by replacing the old faucet with a new faucet. He also went out of his way to adjust the flow of another outside faucet! I appreciated his customer service skills and wouldn’t hesitate on calling Flow Bros. again!

Stephen was AMAZING! We will never use another company. They are fast, professional, and always on time (if not early). We have used them several times and each time we are just as impressed. Their pricing is also very fair and we always feel like they are honest and do not overcharge for anything. Highly recommend them!

Plumbing FAQs for DFW Homeowners

Do you charge by the hour?

We use upfront, per-job pricing. Your plumber will explain the recommended work and price before you decide to proceed.

Is there a service fee?

Our $69 service fee covers sending a licensed plumber to your home. The fee is waived when you have us complete the work.

Does a service request confirm an appointment?

We’ll contact you to confirm availability and arrange your appointment. If you need to speak with us, please call.

What are the signs of a slab leak?

An unexplained increase in your water bill, warm spots on the floor, damp flooring, or the sound of running water when fixtures are off can point to a leak. These signs do not confirm where it is. We can evaluate the plumbing and discuss testing to help locate the problem.

Does fixing a slab leak mean breaking through my floors?

Not always. Depending on the location and condition of the pipe, rerouting the water line may be an option. A direct repair may make sense in other situations. We explain the access needed, the repair options, and the expected disruption before you approve the work.

Does my older DFW home need its cast-iron sewer pipes replaced?

Age alone does not tell the whole story. Recurring backups, corrosion, cracks, or damaged sections may call for repair or replacement. A sewer camera inspection can help assess accessible piping. We use the findings and your home’s layout to explain whether a targeted repair or a larger replacement makes sense.

Why do my drains keep backing up after being cleared?

Clearing a blockage may restore flow without resolving its cause. Grease buildup, roots, damaged piping, or a low spot in the sewer line can lead to repeat problems. If several fixtures back up together, stop using water and call so we can check for a main sewer line issue.

Should I get a sewer camera inspection before buying an older home?

It can be a useful addition to your home inspection, especially if the sewer line’s condition is unknown or there is a history of backups. A camera can reveal visible problems in accessible piping. It does not see every part of the system or guarantee that a line is leak-free.

Why did my water bill suddenly go up?

A running toilet, irrigation leak, dripping fixture, or hidden water line leak can waste water. Compare your usage and billing period, then check for obvious leaks. If the meter continues registering use when all fixtures, appliances, and irrigation are off, a plumbing evaluation can help find the cause.

What causes low water pressure in my house?

If only one faucet is affected, a clogged aerator or a fixture problem may be responsible. Low pressure throughout the house can involve a leak, a valve, the pressure regulator, restricted piping, or the water supply. We check the pattern and measure pressure before recommending a repair.

How often should my water heater be serviced?

The right schedule depends on the manufacturer’s instructions, your water quality, usage, and the heater’s condition. Tank heaters may need flushing, while tankless units may need descaling and filter cleaning. Tell us the model, age, and service history so we can recommend appropriate maintenance for your equipment.

Is a tankless water heater a good choice for my home?

It depends on your household’s hot water demand and the installation requirements. We consider how many fixtures run at once, the available gas or electrical supply, venting, and maintenance needs. Tankless does not automatically mean instant hot water at every faucet; the distance through the piping still matters.

How can I protect my plumbing before a North Texas freeze?

Disconnect garden hoses, cover outdoor faucets, insulate exposed pipes, and keep your home heated. Open sink cabinets to let warm air reach vulnerable pipes, keeping cleaners away from children and pets. Know where your private water shutoff is, and follow local utility guidance about dripping faucets during severe cold.
